All of us at
Sisson Creative understand the value of having a strong
community. It's not only where we work, it's where we
live. Because of that, we take an active role in volunteer
activities for a variety of organziations as well as
doing pro bono work for select non-profits.
Volunteer Positions
Mark Sisson is
on the board of Lynchs Landing where he previously chaired the economic
restructuring committee. This committee oversees economic
development initiatives for downtown Lynchburg including
business recruitment and retention programs. Mark was
also on the board of the Region 2000 Technology Council
which promotes technology initiatives that benefit economic
development within Region 2000.
Pro Bono Work
By
helping organizations that help others, everyone at
Sisson Creative takes an active role in making our community
better. For this reason, we have provided marketing
and design help for the following organizations:
- Bedford County Hunt's Point to Point
(benefiting Poplar Forest)
- Area Humane Societies
- Junior Achievement
- Kids Haven
- Lynchs Landing
- Steeplechase at Oak Ridge
(benefiting Jubilee Family Center)
- PTA/PTO Thrift Shop
- Jefferson Choral Society
Neighborhood
Redevelopment
Realizing
that every successful community needed a thriving downtown
as its commercial and cultural center, Mark became part
of two real estate partnerships that bought, renovated
and fully rented two buildings on Lynchburg's historic
riverfront. The first, in 1995, was the old Anheuser
Busch bottling facility built in 1897. The second is
the N&W Freight Depot, now home to Craddock Cunningham
Architectural Partners and the Depot Grille restaurant
